Today the Mall of America will have its first lock down drills, ever. The times of the drills are at 10:05 a.m and 9:25 p.m. The police have been preparing for these drills, and lockdown procedures for months, visiting with each individual store to go over procedures. They came up with these lockdown procedures to keep the public safe in unusual circumstances, and to buy the police more time.
A new set of drills will start at the begining of the year and then run twice a month.

What do they do during these lock downs? That's interesting they are choosing today to be their test run seeing as the holidays are just around the corner.
